Your arms are wrapped around me,
Your skin is searing hot,
You soothe away my inner scars,
And you help me forget.

Worries and anxieties,
Fears and insecurities,
You push until they fall.

I feel something so right
doing the wrong thing.

When you stand up from bed at dawn,
Everything is frigid.
This cold seeps in my skin and bones –
We’ll talk about this later…

I have work.
You have appointments.
We’re not sure if we want this.

I feel something so wrong
doing the right thing.
