A monsoon fall from your eyes as you weep.
I’ll stand by you – but not to flaunt my peace;
I stand by you because I love your laugh.
Your merry mist soaks in my skin so deep.
Your smile like dew in sunlight puts at ease
each worry that my stormy sea may have.
For this I stay until your rains subside –
Because in night do I find beauty yet;
For in that dark did my heart once reside,
But I had none, when lost, to cast a net…
Not one to bring me in from pulling tide.
